QuoteNest Review (2026) — Tested on a House + Driveway Job
QuoteNest is a $12/month quoting app that now handles a pressure washing combo job properly. In our November 2026 test it priced a two-story house wash and a 1,500 sq ft driveway as two lines ($345 + $270 = $615), and the customer accepted and booked a time slot online. It has no satellite measuring, its rates are preset, invoices show one line, and there are no online card payments.
TL;DR
- Verdict: the cheapest tidy quote we have tested for a solo pressure washer who already knows the square footage, not yet a full job-to-payment system.
- Price: $12/month with a 14-day trial and no card, or a $18 Founder Pass for the first 3 months.
- Best feature: house and driveway on separate lines, with the house price rising by story ($285, $345, $405 for a 1,500 sq ft footprint).
- Main limitation: the per-square-foot rates are preset, and the invoice drops the line items and shows one total.
- Not there yet: online card payments, satellite measuring, and an AI scope text you can send without editing.
CrewKit is reader-supported — we may earn a commission if you sign up through links on this page. It never affects our rankings or verdicts, which come from real hands-on testing.
Disclosure for this review: QuoteNest’s founder gave us a complimentary Pro account for testing, with no card on file. QuoteNest runs an affiliate program; we have not joined it, and nobody at QuoteNest saw this page before it went live.
QuoteNest’s homepage promises you will stop driving to houses for unpaid invoices. Fair enough. Our first test made us drive straight back to the drawing board: on October 2, 2026, the app had no exterior services at all, and our driveway quote came back as “1 room and 1 bathroom.” We said so. QuoteNest’s founder kept shipping. So we kept testing.
QuoteNest is a small web app that started life as a quoting tool for house cleaners and handymen. It added a Pressure Washing tab in October, then split the house and the driveway into separate surfaces after our second test. This review covers the third round, run on October 31 and November 1, 2026, on version 1.15.17. Short version: the quote is now genuinely good for the money, and the rest of the job is still catching up.
Bottom line upfront
QuoteNest fits a solo pressure washer who already knows the square footage and wants a clean, itemized quote on a customer’s phone in a couple of minutes, for $12 a month. The combo quote works: house and driveway on separate lines, a price that rises with the number of stories, and an online page where the customer accepts and picks an arrival window.
It does not fit an operator who wants to set their own rates, measure from satellite images, or get paid by card from the invoice. The per-square-foot prices are preset, and we found no setting to change them; you can only override the total. The invoice keeps one line and one total, and there is no pay button. If you want remote measuring, QuoteIQ and CrewNest both have it. If you want a full crew workflow, Jobber is the grown-up option.

QuoteNest pricing — verified November 2026
| Standard Monthly | Founder Pass | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $12/month | $18 prepaid for 3 months ($6/month) |
| Trial | 14 days, no card | None (instant activation) |
| AI quotes | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Texting | ”1-tap native SMS” from your own phone | Same |
| WhatsApp messages | 200 a month | 500 a month |
| Client hub, property notes | Yes | Yes |
| Online acceptance, one-click invoicing | Yes | Yes |
| Reminders, rebooking, review requests | Yes | Yes |
There is no free plan, but the trial needs no card, which is the friendly way round; it includes 25 WhatsApp messages and unlimited texting from your phone. At $12 a month, QuoteNest is the cheapest paid tool we have reviewed. The Founder Pass is a launch offer: the page says it locks a founder rate, so read the terms at checkout if you plan to stay past the first three months.
What we tested, and how
Our standard benchmark is the same for every quoting tool: a 1,500 sq ft concrete driveway plus a soft wash on a two-story house, quoted, accepted, scheduled, finished and invoiced.
The test customer was fictional and the business profile was ours, so no real homeowner ever saw a quote. We worked in a desktop browser and did not install anything on a phone. We did not send a real text message or WhatsApp message; we opened every customer-facing page through its public link instead.
Because QuoteNest changed so fast, here is the full history:
| Test date | Version | What happened with our benchmark |
|---|---|---|
| October 2, 2026 | early build | No exterior services. The driveway went in as a handyman job with “1 room and 1 bathroom”: $236 |
| October 29, 2026 | 1.14.7 | New Pressure Washing tab with stories and siding material, but one area box for house and driveway together, and one total |
| November 1, 2026 | 1.15.17 | Separate house and driveway surfaces, two priced lines: $345 + $270 = $615 |
Three rounds in a month is unusual. It tells you two things: the founder listens, and the product is young enough that this page will age quickly.
The pressure washing quote form
Open a new quote, switch to the Pressure Washing tab and pick one of eight exterior scopes: house wash plus driveway combo, driveway and sidewalk, house soft washing, patio/deck/pool, roof soft washing, gutters, fences, and commercial storefront and walkway.

The combo scope is the one that matters for us. It shows two boxes side by side: House Siding Footprint and Driveway / Flatwork Area, both in square feet, with quick presets for a 2-car (about 500 sq ft), 3-car (about 800) or large pad (about 1,200). Below that you choose the number of stories, the siding material (vinyl, brick, stucco, fiber cement, wood or other), optional treatments (degreaser, heavy algae, rust stains, oxidation, plant protection, window rinse) and free notes.
The estimate updates as you type, and it already shows the split: “House $345 • Driveway $270.” That one line is the fix we asked for in October.
There is no map and no measuring tool. You bring the numbers, from a tape, a past job, or a satellite app. For operators who quote from a measurement they already trust, that is fine. For operators who quote from the couch, it is the biggest gap next to QuoteIQ and CrewNest.
The prices it suggests, and why you cannot change them
We tried the house at a few sizes and heights to see how QuoteNest prices it:
| House footprint | Stories | House price |
|---|---|---|
| 1,500 sq ft | 1 | $285 |
| 1,500 sq ft | 2 | $345 |
| 1,500 sq ft | 3+ | $405 |
| 2,000 sq ft | 1 | $365 |
Each extra story added $60 on our 1,500 sq ft footprint, and the driveway stayed at a flat $0.18 per sq ft ($90 for 500 sq ft, $270 for 1,500) whatever the house looked like. Switching the siding from vinyl to brick did not change the price in our test.
QuoteNest’s documentation publishes the rates behind this: $0.16 per sq ft for siding, $0.18 for driveways, a 1.25x multiplier for two stories and 1.5x for three or more, and a $99 minimum per job. Our results fit those rates, plus a fixed $45 on the house line. It also lists rates for patios ($0.20), storefronts ($0.22), roofs ($0.26), gutters ($1.05 per linear foot) and fences ($1.15), which we did not test.
That is a sensible pricing model: footprint plus height, with flatwork priced on its own. The catch is whose numbers they are. We went through every settings page and found business profile, Google review link, password, WhatsApp quota and subscription. We did not find a price list. The documentation confirms the approach: the engine is “pre-calibrated to profitable US market rates,” and you adjust the result, not the rates. On the review screen you can type a different total, but the line amounts in the proposal text stay as generated unless you edit them by hand.
If your market prices driveways at $0.12 or $0.25, you will be overriding QuoteNest on every job. For a tool whose whole pitch is speed, that is the change we would ask for next.
The AI-written proposal: tidy, itemized, read it before sending
Press Generate Proposal and QuoteNest writes the document: a project scope, a scope of work, a “botanical and property shield” section, and an itemized investment breakdown.

The breakdown is exactly right: house siding soft wash (1,500 sq ft, 2-story vinyl) $345, concrete driveway (1,500 sq ft) $270, combined $615. A homeowner can see what each part costs, which makes the “can you skip the driveway?” conversation easy.
The scope text needs a human. Ours included a stain pre-treatment we never selected, plus boilerplate about pre-soaking plants and taping outlets. All of it is reasonable work, none of it is what we priced. The text box is editable before you save, so this is a thirty-second fix, but it is a fix you must remember to make. A proposal that promises a pre-treatment you did not plan is a customer complaint waiting to happen.
The customer side: accept and pick a time
You can send the proposal three ways: Save & Text Client (SMS), which opens your own phone’s messaging app with the link ready; WhatsApp, through QuoteNest’s quota; or by copying the link yourself.
The customer page is clean and dark, with your business name, the total, the scope and the breakdown. At the bottom, the customer picks a service date and an arrival window (hourly slots from 8 AM to 5 PM) and presses Accept & Book Service. We did, as our test customer. The page switched to “Confirmed & Scheduled,” and the job appeared in Bookings on its own, at the date and time the customer chose.
That is a genuinely good flow for a one-person business: no back-and-forth to find a day. One oddity: the summary shows a “treated footprint” of 3,000 sq ft, adding the house footprint and the driveway together. Harmless, but a customer may ask what it means.
Texting goes through your own phone, so there is no carrier registration to wait for and no per-message fee; the trade-off is that QuoteNest cannot text on your behalf when you are not holding the phone.
Invoicing: one tap, one line
From an accepted quote, Convert Quote to Invoice creates the invoice in one tap: right customer, right total ($615), a due date already filled in. That part is quick.

The invoice shows one description line, “House Wash + Driveway (Combo),” and one total. The two priced lines from the quote do not carry over. Marking the job completed in Bookings does not create an invoice by itself, and the manual “New Invoice” form has a single amount field.
Getting paid is manual. The invoice has a public link and a Print / Save PDF button, and you send it by WhatsApp or by sharing the link. There is no card payment and no pay button; when the customer pays you by whatever means you agreed, you press Mark Paid. That press can also trigger a Google review request, once you connect your Google Business profile (we did not connect one).
This is a deliberate choice, not an oversight. QuoteNest’s documentation sells it as a “zero-commission guarantee”: the app takes no cut, and you collect by cash, check, Zelle, Venmo or your own card terminal. If you already get paid on the driveway, that saves you the 2.9% plus 30 cents a processor such as Stripe typically takes per card payment. If you want customers to tap a link and pay with a card, QuoteNest will not do it for you.
QuoteNest also lists a client portal, a before-and-after photo vault, pinned property notes and automatic 30-day rebooking reminders. We saw them in the menus but did not test them, so we leave them out of the verdict.
What QuoteNest gets right
- The combo quote. House and driveway on separate lines, with their own prices and a clear total.
- Story pricing. The house price rises with height, the driveway does not.
- Customer booking. Accept, pick a date and an hour, and the job lands in your schedule.
- Price. $12 a month, with a 14-day trial that needs no card.
- Pace. Three meaningful releases in one month, two of them answering problems we reported.
What QuoteNest gets wrong
- Preset rates. We found no way to set your own price per square foot; you override totals instead.
- No measuring. You type every area; there is no satellite or map tool.
- AI scope text adds work we did not price, so every proposal needs a read before it goes out.
- One-line invoices. The itemized quote becomes a single description and a single total.
- No card payments. Invoices are paid outside the app and marked paid by hand.
- Young product. The cleaning-business roots still show in places, and features move fast enough that any review, this one included, will need a recheck.
QuoteNest vs. the alternatives
| QuoteNest | CrewNest | QuoteIQ | Jobber | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entry price | $12/mo (no free plan) | Free; Pro $29.99/mo | Essentials $29.99/mo (MapMeasure Pro from Beginner, $99.99/mo) | Core $49/mo |
| Satellite measuring | No | Yes | Yes (MapMeasure Pro) | No built-in calculator |
| House + driveway on one quote | Yes, two priced lines | No (one service per estimate) | Yes | Yes |
| Your own rates | No (preset, override the total) | One rate per business | Yes (price library) | Yes |
| Card payments | No | Via Stripe, once unlocked | Yes | Yes |
| Review | This page | CrewNest review | QuoteIQ review | Jobber review |
QuoteNest and CrewNest are mirror images. CrewNest measures well but puts one service on each estimate; QuoteNest builds the combo quote well but cannot measure. QuoteIQ does both, with your own price library and card payments, but measuring starts on its Beginner plan at $99.99 a month, about eight times QuoteNest’s price. For a crew that needs dispatch and payments on every job, Jobber remains the safe, expensive answer.
Frequently asked questions
How much does QuoteNest cost? $12 a month on the Standard plan, with a 14-day free trial that needs no card. A Founder Pass costs $18 for the first three months ($6 a month) and raises the WhatsApp quota from 200 to 500 messages a month. Prices checked on getquotenest.com on November 1, 2026.
Does QuoteNest work for pressure washing? Yes, since October 2026. It has a Pressure Washing tab with eight exterior scopes, including a house wash and driveway combo, roof soft washing, gutters, fences and commercial storefronts.
Can I put a house wash and a driveway on one QuoteNest quote? Yes. The combo scope has separate boxes for the house footprint and the driveway, and the proposal shows each as its own priced line. In our test: $345 for a two-story house with a 1,500 sq ft footprint, plus $270 for a 1,500 sq ft driveway, $615 in total.
Can I set my own prices in QuoteNest? Not per square foot, as far as we could find on November 1, 2026. The app suggests prices from its own rates (the driveway came out at $0.18 per sq ft). You can type a different total and edit the proposal text before sending.
Does QuoteNest send text messages? It opens your own phone’s messaging app with the proposal link ready, so the text comes from your number. It can also send through WhatsApp, with a monthly quota.
Can customers pay by card through QuoteNest? No, by design. Invoices have a public link and a PDF, but no pay button, and QuoteNest takes no cut of your payments. You collect by cash, check, Zelle, Venmo or your own card terminal, then mark the invoice paid in the app.
Verdict
QuoteNest has done something we rarely see: it listened, and fixed the exact problem that kept it off our pages. In one month it went from a cleaning app that thought a driveway had a bathroom to a pressure washing quote that splits the house from the flatwork and prices by story. At $12 a month, with a trial that needs no card, it is the cheapest way we know to put a tidy, itemized quote on a customer’s phone and let them book a time slot themselves.
It is still a quoting app more than a business system. You cannot set your own rates, you cannot measure from the map, the invoice forgets the line items, and money changes hands outside the app. For a solo operator who quotes known surfaces and gets paid on the spot, that is a fair trade at this price: try it for the 14 days. For anyone who needs remote measuring or card payments today, look at QuoteIQ first, and check back on QuoteNest after its next few releases.
